Between me and you, I love writing applications.

As an independent practitioner, brainstorming and filling out applications is my version of preparing for and meeting with a supervisor/manager who loves me. Only that I almost never get feedback from this manager. And that feedback is beside the point; the meeting prep (articulating my desires, my lessons from experience and my understanding of what my community/industry needs) is where the transformation in my career happens.

This workshop, held over two Saturdays, uses the Prince Claus’s Funding Demystified handbook. It is a great resource for anyone seeking to re-/define a project, no matter whether your project is self-funded, crowd-funded, grant-funded or commercially funded.

This is an exercise in improving our capacity to write clearly about our work and to plan + implement stronger projects.
